Scalici Design is…
Simone and Andrea Scalici: a happily married couple (most of the time 😂) and parents of two awesome boys.
This picture of us was taken in 2010. We look similar today…except we have a little less hair, a little more gray, and a lot more wrinkles.
We met in 2009 when we were both living in NYC and a mutual friend introduced us. We got married in 2011 and moved around together for a few years after settling back into upstate New York (where we’re both originally from) and growing our family.
We both have very different skills and specializations that make up Scalici Design.
You will most likely be working with Andrea to schedule your design meetings, get your questions answered, and pay for services.
And you will most likely be working with Simone to design, build, and install your project. (Though Andrea may be a part of the design process too!)

More about Simone Scalici
Simone was born with a hammer in his hand and fresh ideas flowing.
His parents encouraged him to follow his ideas, and his Dad even became his first teacher in design and construction. Simone has a Bachelors degree in Theatrical Design & Technology and 30+ years of hands-on design and build experience.
Simone has worked on many cool projects including: high-end furniture repair, radiant heat installation, historic house resto-mod, complete kitchen renovation, theatrical scenery, a tiny house build, and classic car restoration.
He thinks of himself as a very helpful guy (which he is) and he’s excited to collaborate with you on your next design project.
More about Andrea Scalici
Andrea was born with a calendar in her hand and a spreadsheet-like brain.
She vividly remembers her parents teaching her how to use a real spreadsheet back when computers were the size of compact cars, which is probably what inspired to her to earn a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) and gain 20+ years of business experience.
In another life Andrea may have been an interior designer and professional organizer though. The good news is…she gets to do a little of that type of work in Scalici Design.
